Pitch Perfect: synopsis and query letter contest
Crafting a synopsis
is one of the most difficult tasks of writing - trying to whittle down
your novels to a concise handful of pages describing the intricate
details of your work. We want to help you perfect your pitching
package by providing feedback on a short synopsis, long synopsis and a
query letter.
Want to know the best
part? The grand prize winner will receive free registration to the
Romance Writer’s of America National Conference from
July 15 to July 18, 2009 in Washington DC.

Judging
Each category will
be judged by four published authors or trained unpublished authors. The lowest score will be dropped.
The top three overall scoring entries will advance to the final round. The final round judge for that category will rank the three entries. Those rankings will be assigned a pre-determined point value, which will then be averaged with the top three scores from the first rount. The entry with the highest average score will be named the grand prize winner. Entries ranked first in their category will be named category winner.
Contest Deadline
Contest Deadline:
Sept. 30, 2008. Category finalists will be announced Nov. 1, 2008. The grand prize and category winners will be announced by Dec. 5, 2008.
